Health and Social Concerns Web Sites for Marylanders

Faculty librarians at the University of Maryland Health Sciences and Human Services Library have developed a web site specifically for consumers. The site consists of four major sections:

  • Sites by Subject includes Web pages that link to quality sites organized by broad topics including cancer, diabetes and AIDS.
  • Maryland Resources contains listings of health and social service resources organized by counties within Maryland.
  • Directories contains links to sites that assist consumers in locating dentists, physicians, health departments, hospitals and health care organizations.
  • Health News provides links to headline news services as well as links to health news from government agencies and health-related organizations.
