Description: This project employs two staff members on the Eastern Shore whose responsibility is to: 1) increase awareness of relevant oral health topics for low-income children, adolescents, and adults, including oral hygiene, disease prevention, oral cancer awareness, and tobacco cessation; 2) administer fluoride mouth rinse programs in Wicomico, Worcester, and Dorchester Counties; 3) serve as a liaison between needy families and oral health service providers; and 4) promote awareness of oral health issues across healthcare disciplines.
