Description: Working under the supervision of Professor Leviton, students will teach a law and policy-related advocacy course at the Baltimore Freedom Academy (BFA), a small leadership and social justice themed high school developed in 2003, in part through a partnership with the School of Law. Students working at BFA will conduct legal research, assist with the creation of interactive lesson plans, develop and implement advocacy projects for the students, and teach class sessions while working to link the classroom work to current events, public policy, and legal issues. Some of the issues covered will be Fourth Amendment search and seizure, death penalty, and questions about police and drug policy.
