Description: Civil Justice Inc. is a Maryland not-for-profit corporation formed for the purpose of increasing the delivery of legal services to clients of low and moderate income through a network of solo, small firm and community based lawyers who share a common commitment to increasing access to justice through traditional and non-traditional means. Originally a clinic within the Law School, Civil Justice incorporated in 2001. Members of The Civil Justice Network are lawyers who believe that affordable, high quality services can be provided to under-served client populations through a cooperative network of Maryland lawyers working together who are willing to share their ideas, experiences and know-how to better serve all members of the public.
In 2002, Civil Justice received the ABA's Louis M. Brown Award for Legal Access.
