Gift Processing

This office is responsible for the prompt and accurate processing of all gifts to the University, facilitating receipts, and reporting procedures.

Gifts may include:

• cash or checks,
  
• securities,
  
• annual or multi-year pledges,
  
• deferred gifts, and
  
• gifts-in-kind.

In order to correctly record and report these gifts, the Office provides:

• entry of gifts into development and alumni database
  
  
• official gift receipts for the tax-deductible portion of the gift
  
  
• assistance in preparing documentation for each type of gift
  
  
• preparation of Memoranda of Understanding for the establishment of endowed funds
  
  
• fundraising and spendable income reports
  
  
• assistance with grant proposals to 501(c)(3) organizations (after ORD approval)
